The terms, in plain language

What PlushYou is

Upload a photo, see the person as an AI-generated plush doll image (free, watermarked), and — if you love it — buy a personalized sewing pattern package to make the real doll with your own hands.

Your photos

Only upload photos you have the right to use. Your own photos, your family — of course. Someone else’s photo, or someone else’s child — get their (or their parent’s) OK first. You keep all rights to your photos; see our privacy page for how briefly we touch them (spoiler: we never store them).

The honest expectation

The doll image is a likeness, not a copy— a soft, huggable interpretation that makes people say “that’s HER!”, not a photograph. You see the image before you pay anything, so you decide with your own eyes.

Your pattern license

  • Your package and masterclass are licensed to you, personally— every PDF carries your license in its footer. Make dolls from it, gift them, make one for every grandchild you’ve got.
  • Please don’t share, resell, or redistribute the files themselves — each package was made for one person, and it says whom.
  • Want to selldolls you sew from our patterns? Wonderful — that’s exactly the kind of maker we love. Email us; a commercial license tier is coming, and early makers get looked after.

Beta period

While PlushYou is in beta, some things are free for invited testers, features may change, and the occasional rough edge is exactly what our testers help us find. Beta freebies are a gift, not a subscription.

Refunds

If your package doesn’t match the doll image you generated, tell us within 14 days: we fix it or refund you. Digital files can’t be “returned,” but we’d rather fix a real problem than keep an unhappy maker’s money.

Safety

You are the maker of your doll. For children under 3, follow the pattern’s guidance: embroidered faces only, no buttons, beads, or small attachments — nothing that can detach. The finished doll’s construction is in your hands, literally.

The boring-but-necessary part

PlushYou is provided as-is; we work hard to keep it running but can’t promise perfection or uninterrupted service. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us. Using PlushYou means you agree to these terms; if they change, the date above changes too.
